Thanks for visiting my website. Here's a little bit more about me!

I’ve always believed that some passions are simply too strong to ignore. Mine has always been painting. Born and raised in Cheshire, I spent much of my childhood with a pencil or paintbrush in hand, completely absorbed in the world of colour and creativity. Yet when the time came to choose a career, I took the sensible route. Torn between Art and IT, I chose to follow my head rather than my heart, never imagining that one day I would find the courage to turn my lifelong passion into my profession.

What began as a personal passion soon started to take on a life of its own. As friends and family began asking me to create paintings for them, I realised that something I had always loved could become more than just a hobby — it had the potential to become a career.

A defining moment came in 2013, when I was commissioned to paint Liverpool’s iconic waterfront. The response to the finished piece was overwhelmingly positive, giving me the confidence to explore a new direction in my work. I became fascinated by the challenge of capturing the character, atmosphere and memories associated with buildings and much-loved landmarks, and a new chapter in my artistic journey began.

A few years ago, I was commissioned to paint a heart, which I named You Make Me Happy. Little did I know that this one painting would inspire an exciting new direction in my work. The response was fantastic, and I soon discovered just how much people connected with this more expressive, colourful style. Encouraged by its popularity, I took a break from painting landmarks to develop my now hugely successful collection of hearts, flowers and trees.

My creative process is one of patience, observation and dedication, with each piece evolving gradually as I refine the finer details and build up the layers of paint. Working primarily in acrylics on canvas, I explore a variety of techniques, textures and layered applications of paint to create rich, expressive and distinctive works of art.

Each painting is developed with care and patience, allowing layers of colour, detail and texture to build gradually, giving every piece its own individual character and depth. I enjoy experimenting with different
approaches to painting, using the versatility of acrylics to capture the unique qualities of each subject and create artwork that feels both personal and full of life.

I believe it is these small details, combined with texture, colour and a personal approach, that give a painting its individuality and emotional connection. Ultimately, my aim is to create original, carefully crafted artwork that celebrates the beauty and uniqueness of each subject, inviting the viewer to pause, look more closely and connect with the painting in their own way.

Today, I work from my little home studio in Cheshire, where I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by my family — my husband, our three children, granddaughter Poppy and our much-loved Cavapoo, Ted, who is never far away!

It’s incredibly rewarding to see my artwork reaching people in different parts of the world, and I’m delighted to have my work available at Gallery 38, a beautiful gallery in St Ives, Cornwall. If you’re ever in the area, do pop in for a look — I’d love you to see my paintings in person!

My sunny disposition is reflected in my artwork resulting in a joyful body of work.
